VintageousBK specializes in bold statement necklaces and jewelry inspired by styles of the 70s-and-80s. Most pieces are one-of-a-kind and use vintage beads and/or findings.
All pieces are handmade and designed by Laïs Williams in Brooklyn, New York.
Laïs has a BFA in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design. She has also taken jewelry design courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology. For a more personal account, check out her Design Blog.
Laïs started making jewelry two years ago, learning about beading and wire working while helping to develop a course in jewelry design for the Sheffield School.
This site also contains portfolios of work from some of her other areas of skill and/or interest, including costume design, sculpture, photography, and painting.
It also contains three of her blogs: Stock Thrills The Thrilling World of Stock Photography—Revealed!; Vintage Treasue-a-Day, which features one item from another era every...so often; and Brandzi, her observations on certain ad trends and strategies that catch her eye in NYC.
